Sometimes "beauty" is in the colors and shapes. Photographs do not always have to be tack sharp.
As the peak of the Cicada movement is nearing an end, this one still had energy.
Two in a Row
Two May Lady Slippers in their fresh glory.
Sounds from the Trees

Waiting for You!
Another beautiful evening in Door County, Wisconsin
California Poppies in Wisconsin
Teaching and doing photography at The Clearing in Ellison Bay, Wisconsin, I found that I could not pass up this patch of Poppies and shoot the flowers every day. Every day more flowers opened up. This species of flowers is not native to Door County, but the colors were just too over whelming to walk by and not take out the camera.
Little pocket cameras
It is juist wonderful that small pocket digital cameras like the Canon S700 can take RAW photos and do close-ups of flowers and whatever. You can almost smell the beauty.
Backyard Flowers
After a week at The Clearing in Door County, this was the last of the miniature Iris blossoms left in our yard.
More of Door County, Wisconsin
Not sure what to name this image yet, but it has a story of past and present growth.
Back to Photography
After a week of teaching and capturing a few images, it is now time to do photography. This process is on going and the it seems like the more that one does the better you get. So now is my time to get on with making photographs.
This tree was on the edge of the cliff near the council ring at The Clearing. I was looking away from the sun and saw the beautiful movement in the trunk of the tree. With the infrared camera on my shoulder, I had to snap. The simplicity of the image is what kept me from erasing it from the memory card like the many that were just "snapshots".
