Lilies all have a shape that wants to be looked at. The one lilly caught my attention so I used Helicon Focus to capture a depth of field with f16 and still make the background out of focus. I combined about 12 separate photos, each with a different point of focus to get the sharp look at all parts of the flower.
These actors do a great job of recreating a Bank Robbery in Tucson's Old West Museum.
I had only taken one image with this photograph but was still able to pull back the highlights that were blown out and also get details in the shadows with Photomatix Pro.
I first shot this image in color and made a color image which was very interesting. For fun, I tried changing to B&W and like the effect much better. It is nice to have the option of changing ones mind for artistic reasons.
Shooting in the Narrows of Zion National Park can be an interesting experience. With the Canyon wall exceeding 1000 feet in height, the light changes by the minute. I used HDR to balance the highlights and shadows with the single exposure.
By shooting IR in jpeg from and setting the color white balance in the camera to match the sun light, one can get these interesting effects. I also had to switch the values in the blue and red channels.
Using 5 images at 5 different exposures I was able to open up the details in the church facing North. This is not easy in the middle of Summer. HDR to the rescue.
This rusty old truck sat in a local city park in Sunnydale, UT. I think a few folks found it was a place to hide and drink beer.
This old Ford Panel Truck sat rusting in Sunnydale, UT, just out side the entrance to Zion National Park. From the Beer and Pop cans inside, one gets the impression that the truck is now used for parties.

The first image was a single shot from a Canon G9. The second image was upgraded in Photomatix Pro followed by work in CS3.
