  Point & Shoot Cameras
I am keeping a point and shoot camera with me where ever I go. Catching this beautiful Hosta flower on it's first opening in the morning was a wonderful experience. It also gives me more opportunities to continue to hone my shooting skills and test new techniques.

  Another HDR-IR

Church on Golf Road in Mt. Prospect (3-shots- -2, 0, +2). The clouds made this image more exciting. The top image or front on view was from 12 images total.

  Sepia Infrared
Sepia gives that old vintage look. Sepia and be any variation of brown tones as the maker choses. I used one of the presents in Lightroom 2.

  HDR-IR
After seeing the work of Jeff Morgan, I decided to try it. HDR with Infrared works fine. I used a Canon Rebel XT converted to IR and shot 3 images using AEB on the camera. The images were shot in color and RAW. After tone mapping in Photomatix, I cleaned up the image in CS3.

  St. George
St George and Dragon. This was at the front of a church in Austria. I tonemapped the image to control the highlights and bring out shadow detail.

Like from out of the past. This couple creates music and costumes for the times of the Civil War. I used Painter X to make the image more like a painting.

  On the Waterfront
On the Waterfront of the Georgia Coast. This old building was the early grain exchange where grain was shipped to Europe. HDR brought out the age of the building by pushing the details.

  Holland has more than Tulips

Walking around the Campus of Hope College in Holland, Michigan in July with a small point and shoot camera, I recorded just a few of the beautiful lilies on display.
