I again did three shots of the Lighthouse Exposures (-2, 0, +2) and combined in Hydra. These images were taken on a G10 Canon Point & Shoot Camera - hand held.
The beautiful early morning blue sky behind the lighthouse with the low sun light made for a warm traditional image.
Sometimes the design work of others is overlooked. This simple split tiles work as a se through fence at the Chicago Botanical Gardens.

I love the simple beauty of the flowers and their shadows. Lighting was early evening with no direct sun. Both taken with a Canon G10 point and shoot camera on a tripod.
Shooting with the point and shoot on a tripod, this single exposure worked.

Point and Shoot cameras are great for fast, easy and just fun shooting. The above two images were from The Des Plaines Camera Club shoot last night.
Living at The Clearing for a week long workshop, one is always close to nature.
Wood on Wood. Some one attached a dried branch to the siding of a building as a natural artistic effect. Using a monochromatic color scheme helps to move it out of the natural world.
I shot this pix with a 24 mm lens and no flash. While standing in the open doorway I turned the camera vertical on the tripod and took four overlapping views with 7 pix in each view for a total of 28 pix. These 28 pix were then combined into this one image. The room was dark and the light coming in the windows was very bright.I used Photomatic Pro software to balance the the shadows and highlights.
The texture of the bark siding of the house really goes with the old ladder and chain.
The image was globally processed in Lightroom 2 and no Tone Mapping as was done on Wednesday. Again the single shot was on a Canon G10 - P&S camera.
