I had very old feelings at the site. Thinking of the Native Americans that lived in these woods. I shot three exposures on a Canon G10 converted for IR, ran the images through Photomatic Pro and then tweaked the final image in Photoshop.
This late afternoon shot works in color or black & white. This was an HDR shot with various focus points.
Sometimes I will shoot an image for the possibility of making "Photo Art". In this image I used a simple silhouette of the skyline. This was a single exposure with added details in the sky and "grain" added for impact. Grain can add an artistic effect if used with control.
I was trying for non-detailed lines and yet color with good compositions and some details. I shot wide open with as little depth of field as possible.
This view of "Cloudgate" is more like a big bubble than the normal nicknamed Bean. The location of the shot was from friends Tom and Dave. A Super Color Infrared Converted G10 was used for the photograph.
This image was photographed with a converted camera and an extended color IR filter installed. I kept the image in color to show a comparison.
